Meanwhile check feel free to check out the video below of me playing a free FPS game Combat Arms. - Demon Comments: 12 | Views: 54 Honor Over Death Clan History It began now, some time ago. A story that has fast become legend. See we true who stand here, we were born for Honor. Our leader began his journey in a game known as Jedi Outcast. His desire for companionship and his skills as a leader burning deep. He quickly noticed that others wore a "tag" of sorts, generally consisting of 3 letters. He ultimately decided that he too, shall wear a tag, but not the tag of another. Instead, he would build his own allegiance, his own following... little did he know it would take him quite so far. With that single thought, HOD was born. The true origin of HOD is that known only to a select few, the grand High Councilors of HOD. It is rumored originally to be derived from a name, but what or whos name remains a mystery, and will most likely go down in the archives as so for all time. Unfortunately for Jedi, the Jedi Outcast following was diminishing, and many were moving on to the newer Jedi Academy, he quickly found himself again, walking alone. This was unacceptable, HOD needed rekindling, rebirth, new life. So without question, he began his clans conversion to Jedi Academy.
Jedi Academy proved just as promising as Jedi Outcast had been, with a relatively large new following, Jedi openned a server and began recruitment. Many tried out, many succeeded, but where so many succeeded others did fail, and others did fall. Jedi was known as [HOD]Master_Jedi in these times, with his followers being labeled as Knights and Padawans. Eventually, the Knights striving to be Masters forced Jedi to invent for himself a new rank, the rank of GrandMaster, leader of the estate. However, he quickly came to realize that this too was unacceptable, he needed contributing members to help maintain the balance in his absence. Thus, the AdminMaster was born. AdminMasters were those ranked higher than Masters, with the ability to oversee and administrate the goings on of the clan, both in and out of the server. There were many AdminMasters, some now long gone, all longly missed. Eventually, the bond between these AdminMasters became a very strong one, and they banded together to form the first [HOD] High Council. With that, the days of [HOD] were truly born. Days went on, members joined, members left, members disappeared. All remembered, all missed. Yet sadly, as time progressed, eventually our days in Jedi Academy would also meet their inevitable end...
And so... we did. Our term in Jedi Academy had seen its end, the flight had landed, and all that stood to make the game so great was slowly being lost in the wind. Some feared that to be the end of [HOD]. Others of us knew, that as long as we had a community to partake in, we would live on. And so, we did. Some of our members went off to start new divisions of [HOD] for the newly released XBOX360 and PS3 Candidates. The new XBOX360 [HOD] Division met up with the original XBOX group, and they continued their legacy onward, without falter. Admins were sent to different games (or chose different games) to help expand the growth of the community. Some went to Unreal Tournament, others went to World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Call of Duty 4, F.E.A.R. Combat, and more. It is however in F.E.A.R. where we found our next sincere and skillful community.
F.E.A.R. was a free 2 play Online Multiplayer FPS. As such, it made recruitment simple. The new division of [HOD] in F.E.A.R. was started and maintained by HighCouncilor Demon, who began recruiting not only through use of the online server, but through his own college. Soon he had built a team to represent [HOD] in this new gaming venture, and using his heavy background in FPS games, he taught them well in the ways of first person combat. The following for [HOD] in F.E.A.R. became so vast that Demon and his main Division Officers decided to form an Elite squad of exceptionally skilled FPS gamers with which he could compete in league / clan matches. This team was known as the [HOD]-e, or Honor Over Death Elite. They had a ranking system, Demon as [HOD]-e1, the leader. His officers as [HOD]-e2, and the members of the squad as [HOD]-e3. Together they faught in many battles together, winning many victories and suffering defeats, but ultimately learning from them. The team practiced on a daily basis, meeting always in the clan's TeamSpeak server and enjoying a good laugh or two in the process. Unfortunately, the on-set of excessive cheating and the lack of repeated support from the games developers left [HOD] bewildered and upset. Eventually they parted ways with the game of F.E.A.R., for too many hackers had laid seige to its fields. The Elite team was split up, but most still stay in good contact with eachother. Though some are not currently in HOD, they all have HOD in their hearts, and know that we have them in ours. Left 4 Dead showed promise for us next, with the enjoyment of murdering Zombies on a regular basis, who could complain? Unfortunately, the game quickly became redundant, and was difficult to recruit in due to its small in-game player allowance (4 player servers, or 4v4 VS servers). The eventual update to the VS altering some of the key aspects of the game finally broke the back of [HOD] in the already sinking game, and although some of us still play for entertainment, we do not actively recruit in Left 4 Dead. Then, along came Combat Arms. This is where we are today, another Free2Play shooter from Nexon Entertainment, this game shows a bit of promise in the ways of recruiting. Although we have just started open recruitment recently for this new venture, it is already showing potential. We look forward to all that we may learn and enjoy in our future in this game.
All in all, Honor Over Death has had, and will continue to have, a great run. We have seen many faces come, and many faces go. Made enemies, and life long friends. We have ultimately gone beyond a Gaming Clan, into a community that stands for something greater. For putting Honor before anything else, to play for justice, pride, and most of all fun. We are. HONOR OVER DEATH. HOD Servers Currently, HOD is not playing in any games that we host servers in. You can however find us online in F.E.A.R. Combat, Combat Arms, GuildWars, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty 5, World of Warcraft, Left 4 Dead, and many other games. In the future, we will be playing games such as: Star Wars: Knight of the Republic (MMO), Jumpgate Evolution, and Global Agenda. When we are playing in a game that allows for the creation of servers, all server information will be listed here.
